L1. Current Economics
Dr. Ferd Levy returns with his class on Current Economics. Class discussions revolve around daily economic issues mentioned in the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, the New Yorker and other applicable publications.
L2. Gardening
Different speakers will discuss their gardening experiences. The Master Gardener program of Fulton County will be represented.
L3. Great American Bestsellers
This class will be an overview of the books that shaped America. Books from 1640 to the present will be discussed by Frank Gleason with video lectures by Dr. Conn, Professor of English at the University of Pennsylvania.
L4. Tai Chi
This balance exercise for mind and body done regularly can reduce risk of falls and injury, improve circulation, flexibility, posture, blood pressure and heart rate as well as reduce stress and increase energy. This form of “movement meditation” involves slow, rhythmic movements while breathing deeply. Dawud Rasheed, experienced Tai Chi and Yoga instructor, will combine his expertise to offer this class that will cost $50 for nonregistered participants and $25 for registered participants. Ten students needed to offer this class.
L.5 Travel
Fred Scheer is coordinating this class. On any day you may find yourself in England, Pensacola, FL, Argentina, on a Scandinavian Cruise, on the trip of a lifetime, or other exciting locations. No need to bring luggage, just come prepared to relax and enjoy the beauty of our world.
11:15 AM – 12:15 PM
L6. Art History (New – Cycle 1)
The class will begin the art history cycle with prehistoric art and culture. Attention will be paid to contemporary theories and new interpretations of the periods covered. The presentations will be enhanced by digitally projected Power Point. Marilyn Morton will be the instructor.
L7. French Conversation
This class, led by Claudine Thire, will engage in basic French conversation.
L8. Great Decisions
Come and join the lively discussion of eight of the world’s most pressing issues. Moderated by the fearless team of Miller and Nixon, their classes promise, once again, to be a thought provoking and stimulating experience.
L9. I Remember
Bring your memories and experiences, paper and pen to write your story. We spend class time sharing what we write. Ruth Barnwell has much experience in leading you through the process.
L10. Line Dancing
Join the fun as Rose Haven leads low risk, low impact line dancing to get both your mind and body active. Ten Students must register to cover the cost of the class. There is a fee of $50 for Line Dancing ONLY. $48 for class registrants plus $25 for Line Dancing.
L11 . The Churchill Women
Three women, Sara, Jenny and Clementine, played a major role in shaping the history of England. Frances McKibben will present this exciting class.
12:30 – Lunch
Lunch is offered for $8.00 and is by reservation and PREPAYMENT only, or you may bring your lunch. Drinks are 50 cents.

L12. Bridge for Fun
Bring three friends, or meet three new friends, and a deck of cards to enjoy an afternoon of bridge. We provide the tables and you provide the challenge and the fun.
L 13. Mahjong
Mahjong is a game for four players that originated in China. Bring your friends and your Mahjong set.
L14. Movie Matinee
Keep up with movies that you may have missed at the best bargain in town. We show the latest in award winning movies, as well as your suggested movies.
L15. The Homage Collage
Participants will create a collage in homage to a special person: a grandchild, an ancestor, or even themselves, their legacy, travel or special experience. For those who think they cannot paint or draw, collage is a way to create meaningfully using things of our lives and culture in an artistic way. Joyce Vroon, a founding member of the Atlanta Collage Society, will lead this class. $10 supply fee.
